[ Nevermind that Alberto comes from an ocean in the north of Italy, his life on an island in the Mediterranean providing zero experience for frozen waters... While he feels confident he can herd the prized fish, decked out in a full-on ensemble of his new winter gear and carrying a strange staff not unlike a shepherd's, along with a large woven basket to gather the fish he catches, he's also feeling less confident than usual because he can't use a net to catch all of them at once. It'll cause him some worry, but he won't admit to it, carrying his homemade fish-herd's staff and basket all along the way after he meets Chara at the castle. He'll try to make polite chit-chat on their way to Elphame, probe Chara to make polite chit-chat in turn, but just as comfortably can fall into a comfortable silence on their journey, especially if either of them elect to play music on their phone at some point to fill the quiet space. Either end of the spectrum feels just as gratifying to Alberto. Gotta kill the time some way, right? ]
[Compared to Alberto? Chara is dressed like it's freaking spring, just wearing their usual striped sweater and pants with the addition of a scarf. Anywho... The ride of going to be pretty boring, if Chara is in charge of the entertainment. As they don't have any music to listen to and they really will only talk when talked to, sorry Alberto.
And there isn't even the goat around either, when Alberto shows up at the castle. Cause Chara doesn't really keep track of their familiar.
Anyway they'll get there and hopefully, it's not too dull of a ride for the fish monster boy, as Chara will get off their ride and take a look around.]
[ While Alberto was disappointed by the goat's absence, and the one-sidedness of the chit-chat, it wasn't such a bad ride. It felt like... living with Massimo. He got used to being quiet. He probably just fell asleep at some point on the ride out of boredom (surely with his mouth hanging open inelegantly) and left Carlo to his own devices, though he mostly just lied in Alberto's lap. The cat probably awkwardly stared Chara down the whole ride... He doesn't seem like a very nice cat...
But once they've arrived and they're all set up, Alberto's taking off his thicker, longer coat, though he has a jacket on underneath over his pullover. He's mostly thinking how he doesn't want to be slowed down by the weight once that thing gets wet, he wants to swim fast, but he's accidentally thinking ahead and possibly even saving his own life because all his thick winter clothes are about to become completely waterlogged and saturated in ice-cold water for the rest of the ride back home once he's done. That had never even occurred to him; more concerned with speed than, uh, hypothermia. But it works out in his favor for once.
He seems pretty nonchalant about all this... A little too nonchalant. ]
[Chara is not bothered by the cat's staring, they almost expect it from others familiars since their own doesn't seem to trust Chara. Why should anyone else's?
Once those words leave Alberto's mouth once they're all situated and such, Chara sighs and shakes their head.]
Won't be the first time I've done something stupid blind, let's go find this body of water then and get fishing.

I'll be fiiiine~ I'm not like you humans, y'know— my body's different. When the waters get cold back home, we don't need extra clothes or blankets or anything, and there's definitely no fire, heh, you just... I dunno... adjust! On land? Miserable. S'not like that on the surface.
[ Physiologically speaking, Alberto's body is probably pretty fascinating. What happens to his organs when he makes the Change? How do his teeth flatten out? Does his vision change with the change in his pupils? How does he gain an extra finger when the webs between them disappear? Where does his tail go? ...Where does his tail go...? But the point at hand is that, from the sounds of it, he's able to regulate his body temperature to the waters around him, like many fish are, even if apparently he can't do that on land.
A thought occurs to him, though, and he gives Chara a playful nudge with his elbow as they walk side-by-side, shooting them a sly smile. ]
Hey, come to think of it— You've only ever seen me on land, huh? You get to see me make the Change, heh!
[ Lucky you, Chara... You get to watch Alberto turn blue and scaly and slimy. Great. ]
[Yeah Chara isn't one hundred percent sure about this whole thing, but hey if Alberto wants to risk it? It's not their life on the line here after all. As to having seen Alberto change, they have not!]

Undyne is the leader of the knights that work for Dad, the King of all Monsters, she's kind of scary. [If you don't know her.] She's a fish monster and does crazy stuff with boulders.

[ He looks at them with a surprised, open expression he seldom wears. He's so curious about scary some fish monster lady now. He can't help already envisioning her looking like Luca's mom, though... ]
[ He shifts his bag slightly, rolling up the left sleeve of his pullover and pulls it as high up his arm as he can, almost to his shoulder, as he talks and walks, attention diverted with a quiet excitement. ]
Throwing spears isn't that scary. I've had harpoons thrown at me tons of times! Look~
[ Once he's done fussing with his sleeve to expose his bicep, he sticks his arm out toward Chara to give them a closer look — just to show off a thin, pale scar. He almost seems strangely... proud? ]
[ Alberto watches Chara miming the move with a raised eyebrow, and responds musingly, but does stop in his tracks after they're done mimicking the move. ]
Okay, magic spears do sound scarier, but... Do that suplex again...? Show me?
[ Alberto knows more or less what the word wrestling means, but he doesn't know about any particular moves or fandom surrounding it... Hard to tell
